Technology using Nonsurgical Robots Essay
Integration of digital technologies into clinical practices includes the use of nonsurgical robotics. Healthcare staff uses robots to enhance their roles and responsibilities in various healthcare settings. For instance, nurses utilize nursing robots while providing patient care. According to Christoforou et al. (2020), nursing robots serve as supplemental healthcare staff in various settings, including elderly-care facilities, hospitals, medical centers, and at home. These robots perform laborious physical and logistic tasks, assisting nurses in routine duties, including measuring patients’ vital signs. Additionally, remote-controlled telerobots perform interactive caretaker tasks, serving as interfaces for nurses, enabling them to communicate with patients or the elderly while providing them with nursing care remotely. Robotic machines also assist nurses in distributing medicines, food trays, medical equipment, and personal items such as towels in various wards. In particular, nonsurgical robots are commonly used to distribute different items to patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, reducing nurses’ exposure and risk of contracting the coronavirus (Horowitz, 2019). Therefore, nursing robots reduce nurses’ workload, allowing them to concentrate on providing quality care services to their patients. Nurses should possess technological skills when utilizing nursing or assistive robots in performing their tasks. Technological skills will enable nurses to oversee the introduction of artificial intelligence and automated technology, incorporating the universal aspects of human care into their clinical practice, improving workflow, quality of patient care, and health outcomes. Lastly, nurses can advance the innovative idea of nonsurgical robots in hospitals by learning about the application of robots in healthcare settings, including modular and autonomous mobile robots. Additionally, nurses can explore the innovative idea by exploring robots’ role in medicine.

Write a paper discussing the staff involved with the use of these robots and their roles and responsibilities as it relate to the robot. For instance, nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians, patient care technicians, housekeeping. Also, give an description of member skills demonstrating graduate level of thinking and synthesis of information. Finally, how is the staff able to advance the innovative idea of robots in nonsurgical areas of hospital.
